Responsibilities
and Requirements:

• Expected to seed/plant, trellis, harvest, wash, sort, grade, package, irrigate, fertilize, weed, prune, clean, transplant, maintain plants and media or substrate  

• Notify Greenhouse Foreman of fertigation system issues for greenhouse and repair fertigation equipment as needed 

• Assist Greenhouse Foreman in inventory and ordering process as needed

• Assist Greenhouse Foreman with administrative tasks such as crop records, recording, and production  

• Be receptive to learning new methods of farming/gardening and sharing existing knowledge of farming/gardening

• Scouting for biotic and abiotic diseases, weeds, and insect pests 

• Taking stewardship of the plants and environment by making a commitment to the sustainability and well-being of the project and the people involved 

• Support production planning and scheduling for all areas of greenhouse 

• Develop and discuss alternative and innovative strategies for planting and maintenance which applies to greenhouse production

• Able to adapt in work areas arranging from 60 degrees to 120 degrees depending upon outside temperature

• Required to lift up to 40lbs

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

• 2 to 3 years of greenhouse experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities
and Requirements:

• Operate and maintain construction equipment and machinery

• Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary

• Prep construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards

• Load and unload construction materials

• Assemble and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding

• Remove, fill, or compact earth

• Follow instructions from supervisors

• Assist various teams of skilled tradesmen

• Participate in on-the-job training as necessary

• Perform site clean-up

• Any other job tasks or duties assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be able to work outdoors subject to inclement weather (Heat/Cold) year-round

• Must have 1 + years of previous construction experience verifiable through references 

• Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation to and from work

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds

• The employee must be able to withstand heights, take direction from managers and complete tasks working in teams as well as independently on occasion

• The employee must be able to follow task given in a set order as well as solve minor issues independently

• The employee is expected to work overtime if needed and show up on time daily in proper work clothes and boots, and a positive work attitude
