Greenhouse Team

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Expected to seed/plant, trellis, harvest, wash, sort, grade, package, irrigate, fertilize, weed, prune, clean, transplant, maintain plants and media or substrate  

  • Notify Greenhouse Foreman of fertigation system issues for greenhouse and repair fertigation equipment as needed 

  • Assist Greenhouse Foreman in inventory and ordering process as needed

  • Assist Greenhouse Foreman with administrative tasks such as crop records, recording, and production  

  • Be receptive to learning new methods of farming/gardening and sharing existing knowledge of farming/gardening

  • Scouting for biotic and abiotic diseases, weeds, and insect pests 

  • Taking stewardship of the plants and environment by making a commitment to the sustainability and well-being of the project and the people involved 

  • Support production planning and scheduling for all areas of greenhouse 

  • Develop and discuss alternative and innovative strategies for planting and maintenance which applies to greenhouse production

  • Able to adapt in work areas arranging from 60 degrees to 120 degrees depending upon outside temperature

  • Required to lift up to 40lbs

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

  • 2 to 3 years of greenhouse experience preferred, but not required


Packing House Foreman

Provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of our packing house with the objective of maximizing operational efficiencies and profitability.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manages and oversees the packaging staff on designated shift to achieve operational objectives

  • Analyzes and determines all standards for packaging lines and ensure compliance to all schedule for processes and develops and maintains all packing orders effectively

  • Implements quality control check to ensure the packaging meets environment, health, food and safety regulations in coordination with the Food Safety and Worker Safety Manager

  • Provides staff with directions on materials and equipment for each package

  • Maintains and ensures compliance to packaging schedule and assigns specific tasks to all employees and monitor all packing equipment and supplies

  • Coordinates with departments to monitor everyday activities of units and ensures efficient working of both manufacturing and packaging departments and ensures continuous improvement in same

  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets

  • Develops team environment in department and resolves all packing issues in coordination with quality department

  • Coordinates with Farm Manager and evaluates all projects and recommend ways to reduce cost and improve quality of all processes and provide necessary training and counseling to employees as per requirement

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required

  • Extensive knowledge of department processes

  • 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required

  • Horticultural experience desired, but not required


Fertigation Manager

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manages inventory necessary tools and materials for projects. Follows parameters on the use of materials and services within the approved financial budgets of fertigation protocol as dictated by the Farm Manager and Production Director.

  • Collates relevant information needed in initiating the fertigation process. This information may include the site’s historical data pertaining to fertigation system’s condition or its spare parts condition.

  • Consults with Production Director and Farm Manager on usage that may increase the farm’s productivity and decrease costs.

  • Monitors the fertigation system to ensure proper function. Performs routine maintenance on the system.

  • Monitors and tests the quality and uniformity of the fertilizer application.

  • Directs necessary workers in fertilizer mixing to ensure the recipe is followed exactly and ensures proper safety protocol is followed as directed by Employee and Food Safety Manager.

  • Monitors quality and consistency of nutrient delivery to the crop including checking the leachate for nutrients, checking nutrients at plant level, and managing media and tissue testing of the crop regularly.

  • Works closely with Production Director on other aspects of managing the fertigation system.

Educational Requirements

  • Preferred but not required Master’s Degree in Horticulture or Agronomy.

  • Required Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture or Agronomy.

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Word/Excel.

  • Good understanding of basic mathematics, algebra, and fertilizer calculations.
